How much does it cost to replace a kitchen extraction fan?

What affects the price, and how to get a fixed price quickly.

What affects the price

  • Fan type and size: box, inline, roof or wall, and the duct size it connects to
  • Access: a flat roof with a hatch is quicker than a ceiling void above a live kitchen
  • Electrics: single-phase or three-phase, and how the fan is controlled
  • Timing: working early, late or between services
  • Stock: if we already have a matching fan, it’s quicker

Why a new fan, not a repair

A kitchen fan that has failed has usually done years of hot, greasy work. Repairs often fail again within weeks. A new fan matched to your canopy is the job done properly.

Getting a fixed price fast

  1. Take a photo of the label on the fan or motor.
  2. Take a photo showing where the fan sits: roof, ceiling, wall or plant room.
  3. Call 0333 090 2002 and we’ll ask you to text them over.

You’ll get a fixed price before any work starts. No surprises on the invoice.
